guard heart, guard your heart, guard your heart above all else, guard your heart verse, guard your heart and mind,

Audio version:

Sitting at the shore; baby tides touching our legs, we drift aside along with sand in minutes, and it all happens without our knowledge.

Thus says the Lord, keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

We, young, need big muscles to fight with the world, especially when dealing with the opposite gender.

In college or corporate, town or terrace, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Let us take four brief points out of scriptures to guard our hearts.
      1. Never make Eye contact
      2. Never speak unnecessarily
      3. Runaway from tempting places
      4. Relate everyone as brother/sister

One: Never make eye contact:

A free look is always a Satan's hook.

In the age of virtual relations, co-education, and gender-equal society, evil made its own ways, making young hearts to defile, feeding the senses with every possible tempting resource. And the eye is the primary target.

"And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines." - Judges 14:1.

This is the look that ruined Samson's life.

Throwing glimpses at the opposite gender for no reason, opens a window, inviting irrelevant thoughts, opinions, which may turn to lust and fantasy.

Jesus said, "But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness."- Matthew 6:23

guard heart, guard your heart, guard your heart above all else, guard your heart verse, guard your heart and mind,

Once, King David too lost his line on the terrace, but after repentance, he said, "Lord! Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way."  Friend, If you are already in any misconduct, I urge you to repent and ask lord Jesus to cleanse your heart with his blood.

The Holy Spirit prompts us for every Satan's plan. If he, just tackle the situation. Never think, "I can handle this temptation".

Be wise and shut your mobile, off your eyes, turn away from the poster, video, or anything that injects sin. Such courageous decisions will decorate your testimony in Christ.

"Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, Not let her capture you with her eyelids." -Proverbs 6:25

Two: Never speak unnecessarily

"Then he (Samson) went down and talked with the woman, and he liked her." - Judges 14:7

He spoke to someone who's not in his life calendar.

Relating as a friend, you make hours of conversation, all out of marriage, creating a likeness in your heart, under your own plans. Aren't you? It may sound hard but friend, I don't want you to regret it like Samson in the end, bearing all loss alone.

Opposite gender interaction has the capability to create its own emotional space. In the long run, space comes closer, moves you into her lap, tortures, and cuts the strength in rest.

A look and a talk made even the strong to fall. Whom we are to escape?

Three: Runaway from tempting places

College friends pinch ears with Wordly conversations, tempts me to break holy silence. We all have areas where we stumble on the boundary.

"She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house." -Genesis 39:12

Joseph ran out.

The World tries to catch and hold you back in every possible way. Even if you lose your promotion, favor, appreciation, attention, just run away if it conflicts with God.

Joseph lost the cloak, in return God gave him something, only worn by Kings. This shows how God rewards the righteous ones.

If you are being tempted, just say to yourself, "How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

Four: Relate as brothers and sisters

Not only in the Church, everywhere.

Calling so, sweeps away any pre-registered intension in both and lays a durable healthy fence in between.

It also loosens the emotional tension which develops naturally, breaking the urge to impress him/her.

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”
and to insight, “You are my relative.” -Proverbs 7:4

Final Words:

"It's okay", "This is casual, no issues", no, never be ignorant. Guys! Our culture is spoiled. "Whosoever, therefore, will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God", says the Lord.

Guard yourself with the word of God, and then deal with the opposite gender.

Never provide shelter for sin under grace. If you, it doesn't mean God is OK but patient.

"Let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them." - Jeremiah 15:19
